Iranian nuclear programme leader Md Osmani staunchly opposes IAEA request to inspect damaged facilities

Tehran, Dec 15 (UNI) Iran's nuclear programme leader Mohammed Osmani, staunchly opposing the IAEA's demands for inspecting the Iranian nuclear states hit during the 12-day-war, today said that the UN nuclear watchdog had no right to demand that Tehran allow its inspectors to examine any of its damaged facilities.
Arguing that its agreement with the IAEA had no protocol which obligated Tehran to comply with the body's request of examining the damaged facilities, he went on to reiterate Tehran's anger over the IAEA's failure in condemning the Israel-US airstrikes in Iran, back in June.
Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation, said Tehran had granted the UN nuclear watchdog access to all its sites which were unhit and allowed inspections as agreed, drawing a distinction between the facilities which were undamaged against those that sustained military strikes.
