Islamic states issue joint statement backing Gaza plan ahead of UNSC vote

New York, Nov 15 (UNI) Ahead of Monday's UNSC vote on the US-brokered ceasefire plan in Gaza, several Islamic states working to resolve the war have actively backed Washington's initiative, and issued a joint statement voicing their support.

The statement went beyond the text's crux, as the signatories made their political demands clear, which was the creation and recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state, existing side by side with Israel.
