Israel, Hamas at loggerheads after terror group refuses to disarm for Gaza demilitarisation

New York, Nov 18 (UNI) Israel and Hamas were at loggerheads again, following the UNSC approval of the US-brokered Gaza peace plan, as the terror group flat out refused to disarm – one of the plan's most vital clauses – while Jerusalem also made its position clear, and threatened to resume hostilities should Hamas refuse to comply, calling the demand non-negotiable.
Under the President Donald Trump's proposed -20-point Gaza ceasefire resolution – an International Stabilisation Force (ISF) will formally be authorised to ensure the Gaza Strip's post-war security, along with the establishment of an interim 'Board of Peace' administration, chaired by US President Donald Trump for political stability until its reconstruction.
The ISF's key duties will be to help secure Gaza's borders, protect civilians, guard humanitarian corridors, train Palestinian police and—most important of all—oversee the Strip's total demilitarisation, which would require the Gaza-based terror group to cede all its arms.
