Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich presents plan for total capture of West Bank

Jerusalem, Sept 3 (UNI) Amid the IDF’s ongoing military operations in Gaza City, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to annex all of West Bank, presenting to his office a plan for the area’s total capture, reports Times of Israel.
In a joint statement with Israel Ganz, the head of the Yesha Council - the umbrella body for West Bank settlements – Smotrich said that presently there is a consensus that there is a in the country against “a terrorist state in the heart of the country,” citing the statement of former Foreign Miniser Abba Eban’s regarding Israel’s pre-1967 border being “Auschwitz borders.”
His statement referenced the high security risk which a potential future Palestinian state in the West Bank - full of groups which want to wipe out the Jewish state from the map - could pose for the country, particularly as such a state would be existing on its very fringes, making the area almost impossible to defend.
