J&K: Gun battles underway between militants and forces in Bandipora, Kupwara

Srinagar, Nov 5 (UNI) Encounters are underway between militants and security forces in north Kashmir’s Banipora and Kupwara districts, officials said on Tuesday.
A fresh encounter erupted between joint security forces and militants in the forest area of Lolab in Kupwara district this evening.
The encounter erupted during a search operation by the security forces in the area. As the security forces reached a particular spot in the Lolab forest area, the hiding militants opened fire, which was effectively returned by the security forces, leading to an encounter.
