Srinagar, Dec 3 (UNI) The Members of Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Association observed the "World Handicapped day" as “black day” and held a protest demonstration in Srinagar to press their demands on Tuesday.
The specially abled persons holding banners and placards assembled at press enclave on the fashionable Residency road in Srinagar today demanded among other things reservation for the handicapped people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to media the President of the association Abdul Rashid Bhat said on this day around the world new schemes are being announced for the specially abled persons, but unfortunately the government in Jammu and Kashmir have failed to address the main issues of the community so far.
