Kamdhenu to expand colour coated sheet capacity by 20pc

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) Kamdhenu Limited, India’s largest manufacturer and seller of branded TMT bars in the retail segment, on Thursday announced plans to increase the manufacturing capacity of its branded colour coated sheets by 20 percent in Telangana over the next year, citing rising demand from the housing and infrastructure sectors.
The expansion is aimed at strengthening the company’s market presence for its ‘Kamdhenu Colour Max Sheet’ brand in the state, the company said in a release.
As part of the initiative, the company plans to raise sales volumes from 2,500 metric tonnes to 3,000 metric tonnes within one year.
Commenting on the development, Sunil Agarwal, Director, Kamdhenu Ltd, said that the demand for colour coated sheets has seen a steady rise due to increased activity in both government and private construction projects.
“The housing and infrastructure sectors in Telangana are witnessing strong growth, leading to higher demand for premium steel products. We are aligning our production capabilities to cater to this growing market,” he said.
Kamdhenu Colour Max sheets are used for roofing and cladding applications across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The company said the products conform to international quality standards and are designed to offer durability, aesthetic appeal, and faster installation.
The pre-painted sheets feature a multi-layer protective coating that helps resist corrosion, cracking, and peeling, even under extreme weather conditions.
The company added that the product also offers thermal insulation benefits, helping regulate indoor temperatures.
Kamdhenu said the product range supports green building practices by reducing the overall carbon footprint of construction projects. The company leverages its technical expertise and advanced manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality, with all products undergoing stringent quality checks.
