Karnan orders stricter sanitation, road safety measures across GHMC limits

Hyderabad, Oct 17 (UNI) Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner RV Karnan has directed zonal and deputy commissioners to intensify sanitation efforts and ensure visible improvement in cleanliness standards across all zones under the ongoing Special Sanitation Drive and Road Safety Drive.
In a virtual review meeting held on Friday with Additional Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, and Engineering Officials, Karnan stressed the need for stringent field-level supervision to uphold civic hygiene and urban safety.
He instructed officials to respond promptly to citizen complaints related to sanitation and warned that negligence in maintaining cleanliness would invite disciplinary action, including suspension.
