Karnataka: Sixty arrested in Shivamogga stone-pelting incident

Shivamogga, Oct 2 (UNI) Sixty persons have been arrested in connection with the stone-pelting incidents during Eid Milad procession in Karnataka's Shivamogga district,Superintendent of Police Mithun Kumar on Monday said.
As many as 24 cases have been registered, and a car, an auto, and two motorbikes were damaged and seven houses were targeted with stones during the Sunday night disturbances.
However, the SP assured that the situation was brought under control within half an hour, and there have been no report of further unrest in other parts of the town. UNI BDN SSP
