Srinagar, Sep 11 (UNI) For the first time, a large number of Kashmiri Pandits participated in a Ganesh idols immersion procession on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi in Srinagar and Anantnag districts of Kashmir valley on Wednesday.
Hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits, including women, travelled in over a hundred vehicles from the Vessu Migrant Colony, carried the Ganesh idol to Sangam, where the idol was peacefully immersed in the water with great religious fervour.
The procession began at 4 PM from the Vessu Migrants Colony covering 11 kms to reach Sangam for the immersion.
