Kerala Assembly adjourned sine die

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 21 (UNI) Kerala Assembly was adjourned sine die on Tuesday after Opposition Congress-led UDF members began an indefinite sit-in dharna in the Well demanding withdrawal of cases against their MLAs and urging the Speaker to protect the rights of Opposition in the House.
Responding to the Government decision to adjourn the House indefinitely, Opposition leader VD Satheesan said the Government had undemocratically guillotined the ongoing Assembly session ahead of its original schedule of March 30.
Following Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tabled a resolution, Speaker AN Shamseer announced the Government decision to cut short the 21-day-long session of the Assembly.
