Kerala Energy Conservation Awards 2025:Institutions save 249 million units of electricity

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 17 (UNI) Institutions and organisations participating in the Kerala State Energy Conservation Awards 2025 together achieved savings of 249 million units of electricity and 841 tonnes of fuel.
The awards, instituted by the Kerala Government to promote energy efficiency across sectors, are coordinated by the Energy Management Centre (EMC), Kerala, and were finalised by a state-level judging committee appointed by the government.
Applications were invited under seven categories: Large Energy Consumers, Medium Energy Consumers, Small Energy Consumers, Buildings, Organisations/Institutions, Promoters of Energy-Efficient Products, and Architects & Green Building Consultancies. A total of 90 applications were received this year.
