Palakakd, Nov 3 (UNI) The missing body of a railway contractual sanitary worker was recovered by the fire brigade and scuba team from the Bharatha Puzha river, near the accident site at Shoranur, on Sunday evening.
The body of Lakshamanan (48), resident of Salem in Tamil Nadu, was shifted to Palakkad district hospital for post-mortem and all the four bodies would be handed over to the relatives to be taken to their native place at Salem, on Monday (tomorrow), police said.
As there are no injury marks in the body of Lakshmanan, prima facie it is suspected that he jumped from the railway track and drowned in the said river.
