KSUM invites applications for startup research grant

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 3 (UNI) Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has invited applications for its Research and Development Grant (R&D) from startups in the domains of deep-tech and emerging technologies, defence and space technologies, health and medtech, industrial applications and agri-food tech.
The R&D Grant, which will be up to Rs 30 lakh, is meant for supporting nascent firms pursuing development of innovative high technology products having exceptional market potential. Also, KSUM will look for equity options of a maximum of 5% for this funding support, a release said on Friday.
Startups that are into R&D activities for developing an initial prototype or applied for Intellectual Property (IP) or IP purchased from a recognised R&D institute, which needs to be further developed into a final product through extensive R&D efforts can apply for the grant.
