Leaves of cops cancelled in Assam, prohibitory orders, ban on internet continues in Assam district

Guwahati, Oct 16 (UNI) The Assam police have cancelled all the leaves of its personnel including the previously approved leaves considering the emerging law and order situation in Assam’s Baksa district forcing the administration to suspend the mobile internet and data services and imposing prohibitory orders under section 163 of BNS.
A notification issued by the Assam Police headquarters said that all the leaves including the previously approved casual leaves and station leaves stands cancelled with immediate effect except the exigencies such as medical grounds.
A massive clash broke out between an irate mob and police in Assam’s Baksa district yesterday following the attempt to shift the five accused in Zubeen Garg death case to Baksa district jail at Mushalpur.
