Lili Reinhart to front Sean Bryne's thriller 'The Mannequin'

Los Angeles, May 19 (UNI) Lili Reinhart has joined Academy Award winner Melissa Leo in "The Mannequin", the upcoming psychological thriller from filmmaker Sean Byrne, best known for directing "Dangerous Animals."
Heralding from Studiocanal’s genre label Sixth Dimension, and due into production this summer, plot details have largely been kept under wraps. However, we know the movie is largely a two-hander and Byrne has described it as a “twisted, intense, and propulsive serial killer procedural”.
Studiocanal is handling worldwide sales at the Cannes market and will release theatrically in their own territories of the UK, France, Germany, Benelux, Poland, Australia and New Zealand. Elevation Pictures has taken Canada, according to DEADLINE.
The film is written and directed by Bryne, whose previous feature premiered in the prestigious Directors’ Fortnight section at Cannes before being acquired by IFC Films. Production responsibilities are being shared by William Woods and Maddy Falle for Page 12 Pictures Inc., alongside Kristian Moliere for Triptych Pictures.
Executive producers are Steven Schneider, Phil Hunt, Compton Ross, Charlie Kemball and Jed Benedict for Sixth Dimension, Lili Reinhart and Catherine Hagedorn of Small Victory Productions, and Melissa Leo. Head Gear Films packaged the project with Steven Schneider’s Room 101.
Globally recognised for her breakout role in "Riverdale", Reinhart recently earned critical acclaim and a 2026 Gotham TV Award nomination for her performance in "Hal & Harper", created by Cooper Raiff and co-starring Mark Ruffalo.
The actress will next appear in Amazon MGM Studios’ adaptation of "The Love Hypothesis" opposite Tom Bateman and is also attached to "The Very Best People", the directorial debut of Tony Award winner Brian Swibel. UNI NST CDS
