Livestock, poultry improve socio-economic conditions of India's rural masses: Rupala

Srinagar, June 2 (UNI) Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala on Friday said India has vast resources of livestock and poultry that improve the socio-economic conditions of rural masses.
Presiding the Inter-Session Meeting of the Consultative Committee in Srinagar on Friday Rupala said that India has vast resources of livestock and poultry, which play a vital role in improving the socio-economic conditions of rural masses.
Therefore, the Department has to make deliberate efforts to increase availability and accessibility of better veterinary health services to minimise economic losses due to animal diseases, he added.
