Maha: Maratha quota supporters smear black ink on face of Dr Tarakh

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jun 24 (UNI) The office-bearers of the Zunzar Chavva organization on Monday allegedly smeared face of Dr Ramesh Tarakh, a former colleague of activist Manoj Jarange-Patil, with black ink for not supporting and protesting against Jarange-Patil's hunger strike on June four at Antarwali Sarati village in Jalna district.
A group of four to five protesters welcomed Dr Tarakh, held him and smeared black ink on his face.
The protesters also questioned him for opposing Jarange-Patil.

Nanded, July 14 (UNI) Maharashtra’s Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan on Sunday hit out at attempts to spread misinformation on the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and urged women of all castes and tribes to take advantage of it.
Mahajan, who is also Nanded District Guardian Minister, said women should ignore attempts being made to spread negativity about the scheme that promises Rs 1,500 per month to all eligible women and urged officials to improve its coverage.

NCP drive to register Ladki Bahin scheme beneficiaries

Parli Vaijnath, July 14 (UNI) A special campaign will be conducted in Maharashtra’s Parli Vaijnath city on behalf of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and its allies from Monday to July 26 to register beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana which promises to offer Rs 1,500 per month to eligible women, said an NCP source on Sunday.
