Maha: NCP leader Munde urges CM to provide help to rain-affected farmers of Beed

Mumbai, Dec 9 (UNI) NCP (AP) leader Dhananjay Munde on Monday wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar requesting them to provide financial assistance to farmers of Beed district whose rabi crops and horticulture were damaged due to unseasonal rains in the first week of this month.
He met both Fadnavis and Pawar in this regard today and submitted a copy of the letter to both the leaders.
Earlier, during September-October, large scale and continuous heavy rains in Beed district caused extensive damage to kharif crops. At that time, Munde, as the guardian minister of the district, had reviewed the losses and suggested the insurance company to conduct a sample survey on the basis of complaints received and approve 25 percent advance insurance and distribute it to the farmers.
