Maharashtra CM Fadnavis signs agreements in Davos to bring Rs 15 lakh crore in investments--BJP

Mumbai, Jan 21 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP media cell chief Navnath Ban announced on Wednesday that agreements worth Rs. 15 lakh crore in investments have been signed for Maharashtra in Davos. Around 13 lakh people are expected to get employment through these investments, he said at a press conference.
Taking a dig at Shiv Sena ( UBT) Leader Sanjay Raut, who has been criticizing Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's Davos visit, Ban asked whether Sanjay Raut has given employment to even thirteen people in his lifetime.
Ban said that Sanjay Raut should answer whether Uddhav Thackeray, during his two-and-a-half-year tenure as Chief Minister, provided jobs to at least 1,300 people.

BMC targets major tax defaulters owing ₹1,500 crore, Seizure notices served to 48 entities

Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has intensified its action against large property tax defaulters, issuing seizure notices to 48 major entities within a week over outstanding dues amounting to Rs 1,500 crore. On Saturday, the civic body released a fresh list naming the 20 biggest defaulters, which include prominent real estate developers, mills and other establishments that have collectively failed to clear substantial arrears.
