Maharashtra leaders hoist tricolour on 79th I-Day

Mumbai, Aug 15 (UNI) Maharashtra celebrated India's 79th Independence Day with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis hoisting the national flag at the state secretariat Mantralaya here today.
Earlier in the day, the CM unfurled the national flaf at his official residence 'Varsha' and the Bombay High Court.
The Mantralaya ceremony featured a Guard of Honour by Mumbai Police, State Reserve Police Force, and mounted police units, attended by senior officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police Pravin Mundhe and Assistant Commissioner of Police Milind Kurde. In his address, the CM also praised Operation Sindoor, stating Indian security forces successfully destroyed terrorist and military targets in Pakistan.
