Mahindra crosses 3 lakh commercial EV sales

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) on Thursday achieved a landmark of over 3 lakh EV’s sold to date strengthening its position as India’s leading commercial electric vehicle manufacturer.
The company became the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the country to reach this milestone, setting new benchmarks in sustainable mobility and innovation within the commercial EV space.
Earlier in July, global electric vehicle giant Tesla entered the Indian market with the launch of its mid-size SUV, Model Y, in Standard and Long Range RWD variants, reflecting the growing potential of India’s automobile sector.
The industry produced about 3.10 crore vehicles during FY 2024-25, including passenger and commercial vehicles, two-wheelers, three-wheelers and quadricycles.
Mahindra’s last-mile mobility arm offers one of India’s widest electric commercial portfolios, featuring the Treo range, Zor Grand, e-Alfa 3-wheelers and Mahindra ZEO four-wheeler.
Together, these vehicles have collectively clocked more than five billion kilometres, helping to prevent the emission of over 185 kilometric tonnes of carbon dioxide.
Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, said the achievement was a reflection of the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
“Achieving the 3 lakh EV milestone marks a proud moment in our journey towards sustainable mobility. It’s a reflection of the trust and confidence customers place in our EVs. At Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, we are not just manufacturing EVs — we are enabling livelihoods and shaping a cleaner future. Through innovation-driven products, we continue to strengthen our commitment to making electric mobility practical and accessible to everyone,” she said.
MLMML also integrated technology in boosting automobile sales with the introduction of the NEMO (Next-Generation Mobility Operations) platform on iOS, Android, and web. This platform allows drivers and fleet managers to remotely manage and monitor their vehicles.
NEMO’s key functionalities include multi-vehicle management within a single app, geo tracking, service booking, roadside assistance (RSA), extensive charging network locations and more.
Mahindra’s sustained growth in the electric mobility segment underscores India’s expanding shift toward green transportation, supported by rising demand for efficient, low-emission commercial vehicles and the government’s continued focus on electrification across the mobility ecosystem.
