Major boost for local youth: Maharashtra mandates 70 percent quota in District Cooperative Bank jobs

Mumbai, May 9 ( UNI) In a significant move to empower the "sons of the soil," the Maharashtra government, led by CM Devendra Fadnavis, has announced a landmark decision for the state's rural workforce.
Recruitment processes in District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) will now reserve 70 percent of positions for local candidates residing within the respective district.
Under the new Government Resolution (GR) issued by the Cooperation Department, 70 percent of all sanctioned posts—including clerks, junior officers, and assistants—are reserved for candidates holding a valid domicile certificate of that specific district.
