Malakpet IT Tower to Generate 50,000 Jobs in Hyderabad City

Malakpet IT Tower to Generate 50,000 Jobs in Hyderabad City

Hyderabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Telangana's IT and Industries Minister, K T Rama Rao (KTR), inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony for the Malakpet IT Tower on Monday.
At an estimated cost of Rs 700 crores, the Telangana Government is constructing a cutting-edge IT Tower in Malakpet, expected to create approximately 50,000 IT job opportunities within Hyderabad city. Spanning across 11 acres, this IT Tower will feature a built-up space of 15,00,000 sq. ft.
Addressing the gathering after laying the foundation stone, Minister KTR expressed confidence that this multi-storeyed IT Tower would soon replace the iconic Malakpet TV tower as a symbol of the locality. He assured that the construction of the IT Tower would be completed within 36 months and emphasized his commitment to attracting major IT companies to establish their offices here, thereby bolstering the local ecosystem. The Malakpet IT Tower will be designed to foster innovation and collaboration, providing a platform for experts to develop new technologies and applications.
Minister KTR highlighted the investor-friendly policies of the Telangana Government, which have significantly boosted the IT sector in the state, attracting global IT firms and contributing to overall growth. He also noted that Hyderabad had surpassed Bengaluru for two consecutive years in IT job creation.
Minister KTR underlined the government's ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and the transportation system to meet the future needs of the rapidly expanding Hyderabad city. He announced plans for the development of a comprehensive 415-kilometer metro line that would cover all areas of the city.
Furthermore, KTR praised Hyderabad for its reputation for peace and harmony, citing a lack of communal disturbances or lynching incidents in contrast to other states governed by opposition parties. He commended the Muslim community for postponing Milad-un-Nabi processions that coincided with the Ganesh festival, emphasizing Hyderabad's cultural diversity.
Regarding Prime Minister Modi's statement about the steering of political parties, KTR clarified that the ruling Bharata Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) was led by Asaduddin Owaisi, and the BJP had aligned with Adani, humorously stating, "not Pradhani (PM)."
KTR also highlighted Telangana's prominent position in crop production in the country, contrasting it with the Modi Government's encouragement for the consumption of broken rice and expressing disappointment that PM Modi did not appreciate the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project during his visits to the state.
