Mamata hits back after PM Modi’s criticism over attack on BJP leaders in flood-hit North Bengal

Kolkata, Oct. 6 (UNI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today strongly countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s criticism of her government and party in the aftermath of the attack on BJP MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh in Jalpaiguri’s Nagrakata, calling his remarks “unfortunate, deeply concerning, and politically motivated.”

In a strongly worded post on her social media handle, the Chief Minister said it was “unfortunate and deeply concerning that the Prime Minister of India has chosen to politicise a natural disaster without waiting for a proper investigation, especially while people in North Bengal are grappling with the aftermath of devastating floods and landslides.”
