Man sentenced to 20 years RI for raping minor sisters in UP

Kaushambi, Nov 11 (UNI) A Special Court sentenced a man to 20 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) along with a penalty of Rs 10,000 on Monday for sexually assaulting minor sisters at Sarai Akeel area of Kaushambi district in Uttar Pradesh, prosecution sources said here.
The sources said that on June 20, 2020 a woman informed the Sarai Akeel police that her minor daughters had gone out of the house in connection with some work. "She alleged that the accused Sahanshah raped her minor daughters," they said.
Prosecution sources said that the police lodged a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Pocso Act and filed a chargesheet in the court.
