Manipur Chief Secretary directs improvement of health facilities in hill areas

Imphal, Dec 4 (UNI) Manipur Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi conducted a comprehensive review of the availability of health facilities and infrastructure-related issues in the Hill Districts on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by the Special Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Director of Health Services, State Mission Director, Deputy Commissioners, Chief Medical Officers, and State-level nodal officers.
Deputy Commissioners and Chief Medical Officers from the Hill Districts presented reports highlighting challenges such as shortages in human resources, infrastructure deficiencies, and specific district-level issues, including ambulance availability and challenges in health facilities operating under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
