Maoists must return to mainstream: Bandi Sanjay Kumar

Hyderabad, Nov 18 (UNI) union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar urged Maoists to abandon violence and return to mainstream life, warning that the influence of “urban Naxals” is costing innocent lives.
Speaking at Vemulawada in Rajanna Siriciall district on Monday, he said urban Naxals live comfortably in cities while poor youth suffer in forests, misled by their propaganda.
He said the government will intensify efforts to end Maoism completely by March 2026, giving Maoists “four months” to surrender and join society. Calling urban Naxals “traitors who exploit the poor,” he appealed to armed cadres to drop their weapons and work for public welfare.
