In Nashik city, various delegations, including lawyers, gave memoranda and condemned the cartoon. The agitators included many women, who said that, the cartoon demeaned the Maratha women in particular and all women in general. The social media went wild with several people demanding a public apology from the editor and cartoonist. The Jijao Brigade and other Maratha organisations said they were holding a meeting on the issue and would give their views later.
