Mass anti-rabies vaccination drive conducted in Shimla

Shimla, Sept 12 (UNI) A mass anti-rabies vaccination drive was successfully conducted in the Municipal Corporation (MC) Shimla region from August 15 to 29 in what is being projected as an inspiring model of multi-stakeholder collaboration and public participation.
The campaign aimed to achieve high vaccination coverage among community and street dogs, a crucial step in realising the goal of making Shimla a rabies-free city.
The drive was a joint effort of MC Shimla, Department of Animal Husbandry, Mission Rabies India, Humane People NGO Rampur, Compassion for Animal Welfare NGO, Neighbourhood Woof Delhi, Peepal Farm, and Just Be Friendly Assam.

MoSPI releases uniform guidelines for compilation of District Domestic Product estimates with 2022-23 base year

Panchkula, Jun 5 (UNI) The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has issued a uniform set of guidelines for all States and union Territories for the compilation of District Domestic Product (DDP) estimates with the revised base year 2022-23, aiming to standardize district-level economic statistics across the country.
The guidelines, released by the National Statistics Office (NSO), provide a comprehensive framework for estimating Gross District Domestic Product (GDDP), Net District Domestic Product (NDDP) and Per Capita Income at the district level.
