Meghalaya CM urges IT experts to shape state's technology sector

Shillong, May 14 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday chaired a roundtable discussion with top information technology leaders, urging them to guide the state's future growth in the sector.
Addressing the NASSCOM Industry Leaders’ Meet 2026, the Chief Minister said that the development of the IT sector in Meghalaya has been a long-term, gradual process requiring sustained effort and ecosystem-building.
The event brought together leading industry representatives, technology companies, and senior officials to deliberate on strengthening Meghalaya’s position in the digital economy, expanding IT-enabled services, and enhancing skilling and employment opportunities for local youth.
