Meghalaya: Narcotic drugs worth Rs 53.86 cr incinerated

Shillong, Jan 23 (UNI) Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances worth Rs 53.86 crore were incinerated in Meghalaya on Thursday in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
The event was organised by the High Level and District Level Drug Disposal Committee of Meghalaya Police at Star Cement Ltd in Lumshnong, East Jaintia Hills district.
Cabinet ministers, State Director General of Police Idashisha Nongrang, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Chief Jagpal Singh Dhanoa and other top police officials witnessed the incineration of the seized drugs.

Assam approves implementation of Gaja Mitra scheme to control growing human-elephant conflicts
