Meghalaya poised to achieve 10 billion U.S. dollar economy: Vijay Shankar

Shillong, Jan 26 (UNI) Meghalaya is poised towards achieving a 10 billion U.S. dollar economy by 2028, by doubling the State’s GDP, Governor C H Vijayashankar said on Sunday.
“We are poised towards achieving this goal and strategies are being developed across sectors, and investments are being mobilised,” he said.
Addressing the Republic Day parade at the Polo grounds here, Vijayashankar said that Meghalaya’s GDP has increased from Rs 23,235 crore in 2015 to Rs 53,057 crore in 2024.
