Ministers emphasise women’s economic empowerment at IKP celebrations in Peddapalli

Peddapalli, July 16 (UNI) The Indira Mahila Shakti (IKP celebrations held in Peddapalli on Wednesday witnessed a strong call for women's financial empowerment, with state ministers highlighting the government's commitment to supporting women's self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Joint Karimnagar District In-charge Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Rural Development Minister D Anasuya (Seethakka), and IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu participated in the event alongside State SERP CEO D. Divya, District Collector Koya Sri Harsha, and local MLAs. The ministers distributed interest-free loan cheques, accident insurance, and loan protection benefits to women's groups in the constituency.
Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao stressed that economic growth is key to women's self-respect and assured that all poll promises made to women are being fulfilled. He noted that through women’s associations, various businesses—like solar plants, RTC bus rentals, petrol pumps, and rice mills—are being established. New ration cards and Indiramma Houses are also being sanctioned in the names of women.
