Mizoram: Assam Rifles seize methamphetamine worth Rs 7.197 cr

Aizawl, Nov 11 (UNI) In a series of coordinated anti-smuggling operations, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with local enforcement agencies, seized a significant cache of methamphetamine and foreign-origin e-cigarettes, dealing a major blow to cross-border trafficking in Mizoram.
On November 11, Assam Rifles and the Zokhawthar Police Department, acting on precise intelligence, intercepted a suspicious white Swift Dzire (registration number MZ 01F 6155) along the Zokhawthar-Melbuk Road in Champhai district.
The occupants attempted to escape, abandoning a blue bag before fleeing.
