Mobile phones banned within 100 metres of polling stations

Nasik, Jan 13 (UNI) In connection with the Nashik Municipal Corporation General Election 2025–26, the voting process will be conducted on Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
To ensure that the voting process is conducted in a peaceful, fearless, and transparent environment, as per the instructions of the Election Commission, carrying and using mobile phones, cordless phones, and any wireless electronic devices is strictly prohibited inside the polling station and within a 100-meter radius of the polling station.
Citizens coming to vote should leave their mobile phones at home or in a safe place outside the polling station before entering the polling station. If any voter is found using or possessing a mobile phone inside the polling station or in the restricted area, legal action may be taken against the concerned voter.
