Motion poster of 'Batwara 1947' released

Mumbai, June 9 (UNI) The makers have unveiled the motion poster of the period drama "Batwara 1947", offering audiences a poignant glimpse into one of the most turbulent chapters in the subcontinent's history.
The film stars Sunny Deol in the lead role and is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi. Apart from Sunny Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, Khushi Hazare and Kanika Kapoor will also be seen in important roles in the film.
The motion poster released captures the pain, struggle, courage, and human emotions of the Partition era. The film's story revolves around a protagonist who chose the path of courage and humanity in the face of hatred and fear.
"Batwara 1947" reunites the iconic pairing of Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny after nearly 30 years. Previously, they worked together in such successful and memorable films as "Ghayal" and "Damini".
The film's music is composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. Producers are Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit.
According to Aamir Khan Productions, the film is set to release in theaters nationwide on August 14 to commemorate the Partition of India. UNI NST CDS
