MP Mallu Ravi urges PM Modi to take action in Dalit IPS officer Puran Kumar's suicide case

New Delhi/Hyderabad/Oct 15 (UNI) Nagarkurnool MP Dr Mallu Ravi has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding strict action against the DGP and other officials responsible for the suicide of Dalit IPS officer Puran Kumar in Haryana.
Speaking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi, the MP assured that he would stand by the officer's family and support their demands for justice.
Dr Ravi said that Puran Kumar, a distinguished officer who had studied at Osmania University and IIMs and received the President's Award, was reportedly driven to suicide due to undue pressure from his superiors. He pointed out that a week has passed since the incident, but the postmortem has not been conducted, adding urgency to the call for action.
