MPHC verdict on counselling plea

Jabalpur, MP, Sep 26 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court today ruled that only the state’s students would be eligible to receive counselling vis-à-vis admission to private medical colleges.
While hearing a petition challenging the state regime’s statute allowing admission of candidates from other states, justices RS Jha and C Sirpurkar struck down the Government’s rule. The plea submitted that, of the total 555 seats in the state’s private medical colleges, 500 were allotted to residents of other states.
