Parbhani, Mar 1 (UNI) The Parbhani unit of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested an assistant engineer and a contract worker of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 from a complainant at Bori rural branch office in Jintur taluka of district.
Assistant engineer Sudhakar Jadhav had sought Rs 1,000 as bribe from the complainant for signing on papers related to compensation of solar pump set, sources in ACB said.
Reluctant to shell out the bribe money, complainant registered a complaint at the city's ACB office, whose team today laid a trap and caught red-handed Jadhav along with the contract worker with the bribe money.
