Mumbai, Dec 14 (UNI) Fans in Mumbai welcomed global football icon Lionel Messi with a creative tribute today, as videos showing supporters recreating a popular Bollywood sequence went viral on social media during his visit to the city as part of the GOAT India Tour 2025.
The viral clip, shared by an Instagram handle, showed a group of fans wearing Messi face masks performing a dance to the entry track “FA9LA” from the film 'Dhurandhar', featuring actor Akshaye Khanna. The sequence, inspired by a widely circulated slow-motion walk scene from the film, has been trending online, with several content creators recreating the moment in different forms.
Messi’s visit triggered widespread enthusiasm among fans across Mumbai. Other visuals circulating on social media showed supporters performing a Ganpati 'aarti' in front of his poster and chanting his name in local trains.
