Mumbai: Over 3k fitness enthusiasts take part in first marathon of 2025

Mumbai, Jan 14 (UNI) Over 3,000 fitness enthusiasts gathered in excitement at the scenic Gorai Jetty for the first season of the Water Kingdom Marathon 2025, marking the first marathon of the year in Mumbai.
The event kicked off early on Sunday morning and brought together a diverse group of participants, ranging from children to seasoned runners, all ready to kickstart their fitness journey in the new year, officials said.
The marathon, which offered 3KM, 5KM, and 10KM categories, quickly became a buzzing celebration of health and wellness. Before the flag-off, participants took part in an energetic pre-warm-up session with an exciting DJ set as the Emcee pumped up the crowd with motivating beats. This lively start got everyone ready for the race ahead.

1 pc stamp duty surcharge waiver for Project-Affected Persons purchasing urban poor housing: Dy CM Shinde

Mumbai, Nov 18 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today announced that project-affected persons in the Thane Municipal Corporation limits, who are purchasing individual housing units under the JNNURM and BSUP schemes, will be given a 1 percent waiver on the stamp duty surcharge while executing their housing agreement. Additionally, a nominal amount of 100 will be charged for the duplicate document, he said.
