Mumbai police issue special security plan for Independence Day

Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) On the 79th Independence Day on August 15, Mumbai Police has issued a special security plan to ensure the safety of citizens, maintain law and order and manage traffic during both national and religious celebrations, said an official today.
On Independence Day, a strong security deployment will be in place, including 6 additional commissioners of police, 17 deputy commissioners of police, 39 assistant commissioners of police, 2,529 officers, and 11,682 constables.
“The deployment will be supported by Force One, SRPF platoons, Quick Response Teams, Riot Control Squads, Delta and Combat Teams, as well as Home Guards, strategically stationed at key locations across Mumbai,” officials added.
