Mumbai: Two arrested for stealing ammunition from Navy Nagar

Mumbai, Sep 10 (UNI) In a major breakthrough, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested two persons who escaped with an INSAS rifle and two magazines containing 40 live cartridges from the high-security Navy Nagar area of Mumbai. Police have recovered the rifle from them.
Identified as Rakesh Dubla and Umesh Dubla, the two individuals are brothers who got arrested in Telangana, confirmed sources in Mumbai crime branch this morning, adding that a team of Crime Branch recorded their statements and they are being brought to Mumbai following a transit remand.
They are the residents of Telangana’s Asifabad district. Notably, one of the accused is an Agniveer (a soldier serving under the Agnipath scheme).
