Naveen Patnaik slams NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, seeks accountability

Bhubaneswar, May 12 (UNI) Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday strongly criticised the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 following reports of a question paper leak, calling it a major breach of trust in the country’s examination system.
In a post on X, the Leader of Opposition of the Odisha assembly and president of the Biju Janata Dal said the compromise of examination sanctity was a betrayal of lakhs of students who had prepared with dedication, sacrifice and sleepless effort.
Stating that this was not the first controversy surrounding NEET, Patnaik said repeated incidents of paper leaks had deepened cynicism, increased anxiety and endangered the future of hardworking aspirants expecting a fair evaluation process.
