Kolhapur, Jan 28 (UNI) Nationalist Congress party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday indicated that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) could possibly contest by-elections that are to be held in Kasaba Peth and Chinchvad assembly constituencie in Pune district.
In a press conference today, Pawar said that even if state chief.minister Eknath Shinde and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has appealed opposition for unopposed both the election, there was no any consensus in MVA comprising NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena Thackeray group on this issue so far.
Pawar recalled the by-election in Kolhapur-north and Pandharpur assembly constituency where BJP had contested and wondered he don't understand how this (unopposed election) came mind of BJP now and why it contested Kolhapur-north and Pandharpur assembly constituency then.
He don't know about state minister Chandrakant Patil's letter about the unopposed election and to whom he (Mr Patil) will write a letter about this, Mr Pawar raised question and gave clearly indications about the contesting both by-elections in Pune district.
