NCP MLA Suman Patil suspends her indefinite hunger strike

Sangli, Oct 3 (UNI) NCP MLA from Tasgaon-Kavathe-Mahankal constituency, Suman Patil, suspended her indefinite hunger strike on second day on Tuesday after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis gave an assurance that he would take a positive decision on her demand within a month.
Ms Patil, widow of late state minister R R Patil, started her indefinite hunger strike on the day of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary yesterday (Monday), demanding for linking of villages from her Tasgaon-Kavathe-Mahankal assembly constituency with Tembu irrigation scheme, in front of district collector's office here, in which her son and youth leader Rohit Patil was also participating.
