New land measurement system to ensure faster, transparent services: Sinha

Patna, Jan 15 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said on Thursday the new land measurement system is a major step towards providing quick, transparent and reliable services to citizens under the state government’s Saat Nischay–3 programme.
Sinha said here that land measurement will no longer take months. Under the new arrangement, measurement of undisputed land will be completed within seven days, while disputed cases will be resolved within a maximum of 11 days. The entire process will be online, which will enhance transparency and help curb unnecessary land disputes.
He said the system will be implemented across the state from January 26 and will be conducted as a mission till March 31 to clear all pending land measurement applications received up to December 31 last year.
