8 new companies to be added to MSCI India Index from tomorrow

Mumbai, May 28 (UNI) Eight new companies, including Lupin, Bharti Infratel, Eicher Motors and Bharat Forge, will be added to the MSCI India Index from tomorrow, while Reliance Infrastructure will be removed. The other companies which would be added to the index are Container Corporation of India, Marico, Shree Cement and UPL. The changes would come into effect from tomorrow. Global indexing and analytics giant MSCI Inc has indices for key markets, along with certain global, regional and theme-based indices. There are, at present, 64 stocks in MSCI India index, including Infosys, HDFC, TCS, RIL, Sun Pharma and ITC. UNI JS SS HK1438
