IOL Chemicals and Pharma profit slide 49 pc in Q2 to Rs 19 crore

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals on Friday reported 49.33% decline in standalone net profit to Rs 19.15 crore for July-September quarter (Q2) of the current financial year 2024-25.
The pharmaceutical APIs and specialty chemicals manufacturer had posted a profit of Rs 37.79 crore in the Q2 of previous financial year 2023-24.
The company's total income during the September quarter of the current financial year stood at Rs 532.18 crore, down 3.66% as compared to Rs 552.41 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceutical saw its profit margin dropping to 3.60% in the Q2 of FY25 from 6.84% in the same period a year ago.
Commenting on the financial performance, Vikas Gupta, Joint Managing Director of the company said, "We are pleased to report sustainable revenue growth in Q2 FY25, reflecting the resilience of our core business. However, we faced some margin pressure during the quarter, driven by challenges in selling price."
"To address this, we are taking proactive measures to optimize marketing strategies, cost structure and enhance operational efficiencies, with the goal of improving profitability in the coming periods," he further said.
